The pad not worth it
The weight and overall construction of the sissy bar is impressive and well worth the money. However, after one ride with my girl, I realized the screws on the pad were loose. I went to tighten them and realized they were secured only by a quarter inch thick piece of wood and immediately felt stripped. Time to take it apart, get machine head screws and a nut to hold it on secure. Since they are wood screws, they have a sharp point that goes through the wood and sits in the foam. I wouldn’t be surprised if a heavy passenger would lean back and feel the sharp point in their back from the screws. All in all, I love the craftsmanship with the steel, I just wish the pad was equally up to par.

From the shipping and customer service to the quality of the bar. Im beyond happy. Fit my 2017 fxdls perfectly. No need to relocate tail lights. Very easy to install. I will do business with the forge again in the future. This thing is heavy duty man.

There isn't enough to say about the quality of craftsmanship and customer service! I first called to speak to a representative on a lead time for denim black and was originally told 2-3 weeks which I was fine with BUT 3-4 DAYS later there was this big ol' package at the front door. Completely taken by surprise when I saw it was from The Forge. Well packaged and the fit and finish is top quality. Out of the box you can just tell you got yourself a solid product. Highly recommend!
